About us

MeridIAn Screener is an independent project: a free website that analyses 1,289 listed companies from 41 countries and explains each one in plain language.

Why it exists

MeridIAn Screener comes from a simple need: to sort more than a thousand companies from many countries with the same yardstick and grasp the essentials of each one in two minutes before spending more time on it.

That is what it is for: deciding which companies to study first. The decision to invest is always yours, made with more information.

What MeridIAn Screener is

  • A ranking of 1,289 listed companies from 41 countries with a 0-10 score, recalculated every Monday and Thursday.
  • A page for every company, in the index: what it does, its score by category, its key metrics and a report written with artificial intelligence.
  • News on the companies in the ranking, updated several times a day.
  • A broker comparison that works out what buying a share really costs at each broker.
  • Every week, the 10 stocks with the best score and what has changed.
  • Guides to get the most out of it.

What it is not

  • It is not financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell. MeridIAn Screener is not an investment firm and is not registered with any financial regulator.
  • It does not manage anyone's money or sell trading signals.
  • No company pays to appear in the ranking or for its score.
  • The score does not predict the share price: it sums up how a company's numbers compare with the rest today. It does not know your situation, your time horizon or how much risk you can take.

How we work

  • The financial data is what companies publish plus market data, refreshed with every analysis. Each company page shows the data next to the score, so you can check it.
  • Artificial intelligence reads each company's news and writes its report. It can make mistakes: if you spot one, write to us at info@meridianscreener.com and we will look into it.
  • The broker fees in the comparison are checked on each broker's official website and carry the date of the last check. If a figure is not published, we say so instead of estimating it.
  • Guides and articles carry their publication date.

How it is funded

Using MeridIAn Screener is free. Signing up with your Google account is free too: it unlocks the full ranking.

Some links in the broker comparison and on company pages are affiliate links and are labelled as such. If you open an account or buy a plan through them, the broker or platform pays us a commission at no cost to you. The comparison tables are ordered by cost, not by those commissions; a featured broker may appear first among the cards, clearly marked. In the future the site may show advertising, always kept separate from the content.
