Frequently asked questions
What is MeridIAn Screener?
A free website that analyses 1,289 listed companies from 41 countries and scores each one from 0 to 10 based on its financial data and its recent news. Every company has its own page with metrics, a report written with artificial intelligence and what it costs to buy it at different brokers.
How often is it updated?
The ranking and the company pages are recalculated every Monday and Thursday. The news is updated several times a day. Prices on the company pages are those of the analysis date, so they may have changed since.
Which companies and markets does it cover?
1,289 companies from 41 countries. The countries with the most companies: United States (580), United Kingdom (88), Canada (79), France (54), Germany (54). If you miss one, write to us at info@meridianscreener.com.
Is it free? What do I get by signing up?
It is free. Without an account you can see the top 10 of the ranking, every company page, the news and the broker comparison. If you sign up, free and with your Google account, you unlock the full ranking, every company in each sector and the full table.
Is it investment advice?
No. It is general information for educational purposes. The score sums up how a company's numbers compare with the rest; it does not say whether the share price will rise and does not take your situation into account. Before investing, do your own research and, if you need to, consult an authorised financial adviser.
Why does a company's score change?
Because its data changes. Each analysis re-reads the share price, the latest results, debt, dividends and news. Example: if the share price rises 20% while earnings stay flat, its P/E also rises 20% and the company looks more expensive, even though the business is the same.
What does the artificial intelligence do?
It reads each company's recent news and writes the report on its page: summary, verdict and main risk. News also counts towards the score. The financial data is not written by the AI: it is what companies publish and market data.
How do I buy a share?
MeridIAn Screener does not sell shares or manage money. Each company page has a "Where to buy" box with what a €200 order costs at the brokers that trade on that market, and the broker comparison has the full fee schedules. Some links are affiliate links: they are labelled and do not change what you pay.
